hebrew-Scroll-Torah1Parish Lectors

After receiving specific training by the office of the Divine Worship, at the Archdiocesan Center in Newark our lectors are ready to begin their journey as active members proclaiming God’s Word every Sunday in all masses, Holy days of Obligation and other special liturgical celebrations. In absence of the deacon our lectors also participate reading the prayer of the faithful.

If you think that God is calling to serve the faith community of Immaculate Conception please see one of the priests or the deacon for further information.

The celebration of the Holy Eucharist at Immaculate Conception is the memorial of Christ’s Passover, that is, of the work of salvation accomplished by the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, a work made present by the liturgical action, therefore, our Catholic faith teach us that everyone who approach the altar of the Lord must do it in state of grace also to receive it with respect, reverence and full conscience that what we are receiving is the gift of eternal life. We invite to all our parishioners, and visitors that come and enjoy our liturgical celebrations every Sunday mass.
